Sermon 17: Three Important Things

Since the purpose of life is to ascend to Heaven, only three things matter: how you treat God, how you treat others, and how you treat yourself. When circumstances in your life are unpleasant, when you feel things are going wrong, recognize that you are in the process of being taught a necessary lesson on your path to Heaven. When you have strayed from a straight, smooth path to Heaven, it will be the result of failing in one of those three areas.

Treating God in the right way is spelled out in the first two Commandments. Have no other Gods and make no false idols. Know that we are made in God’s image, so treat Him the way we’d like to be treated. We want to be loved, so love Him. We want to be appreciated, so be gracious for the gift He has given us – Life Everlasting. We don’t want to be alone, so keep Him involved in your life. We want to have purpose in our lives, show Him your respect for His purpose by breezing through our earthly journey of learning so we can wind up with Him in His glorious Kingdom of Everlasting Paradise. Do this by paying particular attention to what really matters. And God is primary in this respect.

Examine how you are affecting the lives of others. Bring other people’s moods up by complaining less, being more tolerant and patient, and by being pleasant. Everyone you see is also on their own path to Heaven and may be at a time of learning when you encounter them. Try to give them the benefit of the doubt, as you have most likely been at a time of learning yourself. Practice not judging them, as you hope other won’t judge you when you slip up. We are all on the same important mission toward Heaven where we’ll all be living in joy together. So, each of us is equally important as another in this respect, how we treat others is an important matter. To do this, don’t lie about another person, don’t steal from anyone, don’t murder anyone, don’t hurt them or their families in any way. Remember God’s Commandments.

How you treat yourself is important because God created you for His purpose of giving you Heaven. Your body is the vessel for the learning portion of our heavenly experience. You must treat your body in the best way possible. Live in balance, reduce excesses of anything. Don’t over-react to events, but don’t under-react to them either. Neither overdo it, nor underdo it. Balance work and play, balance logic and emotion, until all the shades of gray in between the extremes emerge as one choice, one direction. The way to Heaven, the way to enlightenment. To do this, practice using your own self-control until peaceful and contented are the primary descriptions of your attitude in almost every circumstance. Practice having faith that how you’ll be acting when in Heaven is your purpose and that’s what matters.

Hold every issue in your life up before a measuring stick of how important it is in fulfilling your purpose on earth. The important issues are the ones that will enhance your relationship with God, or with other people, or with yourself. And remembering that will always provide you with the right direction to take, a straighter path to Heaven.

Sermon 16: God Provides

Humanity was created out of a profound love. God loves us, we are very much wanted. And He doesn’t want us to suffer. The proof is in our bodies. Our bodies are the important vessel we inhabit while on our earthly journey of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Bodies thrive on balance, on positive emotions, on joy. Suffering makes bodies break down. Negative emotions hurt your body physically and take your attention away from what is important: the lessons you need to learn to accept Heaven.

So, always first ask God for what you need. He will provide. He is just waiting for us to need Him, always at the ready to help. We are the center of God’s universe. He made Paradise for us. He has bestowed the incredible gift of Heaven to each of us and is patiently waiting for us to learn what we need to know to be ready for Heaven. Of course He wants to give you what you need.

Acceptance of Heaven revolves around your faith in God and your kindness to others. We all have difficulties during our lives as part of our earthly learning experience. Here is the answer to any earthly difficulty: pray to God to provide for you with complete faith in His solution, then, with your worries gone, go on your way passing on your pleasantly peaceful feeling.

Praying is the primary solution. Your own knowledge in solving a problem is secondary, because you do not need knowledge if you have complete faith. You will not feel a need to know the “why” of anything in Paradise. Learning this as soon as you can will help you smoothly on your path to Heaven, bringing you closer to God, your purpose.

You will be begin to find yourself filled with happiness, and you’ll naturally pass it along. Those steps toward the acceptance of Heaven will lighten your burden of learning . And a lighter burden is what we all want.

Sermon 15: God Can Solve Every Problem

While you live on earth, the lessons you learn will teach you how to develop qualities that will enable you to choose the perfect good of Heaven. There will be times in your life when events befall you which cause you to look for the reasons why. The worst moments you experience are the events that will teach you the greatest lessons towards acceptance of Heaven.

When you have strife and try to analyze what is causing your suffering, the Bible gives us a list of heavenly qualities to strive for. Galatians 5:22 and 5:23 gives us God’s words: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. Examination of your problems by determining which of these traits you are not exhibiting, may bring you to a clearer view of the direction you are to take next.

You must develop joy and peace. In Heaven there are no posessions or physical attributes to measure yourself against, none create inner strife.

You must develop love, patience, kindness, goodness, and gentleness. Every being is in Heaven, none are selfish.

You must develop self-control, Heaven is a place of perfect balance, none do to excess.

You must develop faithfulness. Heaven is God’s Kingdom, none wonder why.

Always remember that knowledge is a deviation from Paradise. Rely on God’s direction to solve every dilemma in your life. The way to Heaven will become clear and your path will becomee smoother.

Sermon 14: First, Run to God

There is no perfection on earth. Based on the teachings of the Fall of the Garden of Eden, it is our path to use the Knowledge of Good and Evil, to constantly evaluate and make choices between the two with our Free Will. We live our earthly lives on a journey of discovering how to make choices of “good”, first, through comparisons with choices of “evil”. Then, the lessons you learn along your path will finally bring you to the point where no comparison must be made. And you will be able to recognize good without ever seeing evil, and be able to consistently choose it. This brings you to the acceptance of everlasting life in Heaven.

Everyone must gain some knowledge of evil so that they can learn the concept of good. So, everyone has strife at some time. Everyone is on our own path to Heaven, trying to learn our lessons. And everyone’s experiences are relative in importance to them alone. This is why, when you are experiencing bumps along your path to Heaven, talking about it with someone should always be your second move.

First, you pray. Don’t think, don’t talk. Pray. Immediately.

Talk to God about everything that is bothering you. Everything and anything, major and minor. God will help you understand what to do next in terms of how it will affect your path to Heaven. God can immediately fix pain and sorrow, God can and will alleviate the smallest of fustrations. Ask Him.

He is the only one that can understand exactly what you are going through. And He is there, with you, all the time. He is always ready to help you with what you need, because He knows more about you than anyone. There is no way that we can share enough of ourselves with another person, so that they can adequately respond to your issues the way you may need them to.

Only God can. God loves us and wants us to have a smooth journey to Heaven. God can help us in His unique way better than any person can. God can make things all better, because everything on earth pales in comparison to His gift of eternal bliss in Heaven.

Once you ask God, strife will disappear, to be replaced by peace and proper direction. Satisfaction guaranteed.
